Maria Protopsalti



English and Fine Arts Teacher

Maria Protopsalti was born and raised in Australia and is bilingual. She earned her Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from the University of Melbourne, Australia. After attending art courses at the Athens School of Fine Arts, she was awarded the equivalent of the School´s Art degree by DOATAP, with a grade of ‘Very Good’. She works both as an English teacher at Kyttea Language Centres and as a Fine Arts Teacher at the Centre for Creative Activities for Children (KDAP).

Maria has attended many educational seminars on teaching children with learning disabilities such as dyslexia and ADHD (Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), methodologies for 21st century teachers, differentiated teaching, and teaching tools for art history and visual arts in the classroom. She has also studied iconography. Her interests include painting and crafts, and she has a very good relationship and communication with children.
