Alexandra Ioannou

Teacher of English

Alexandra Ioannou is a graduate of a Vocational Training Institute (IEK), where she earned a diploma in Early Childhood Education and Creative and Expressive Activities.

She developed a love for English through her own teachers, whose passion, warmth and enthusiasm inspired her to pursue a career in foreign language education. She has been teaching English since 2000 and has experience working with students at all levels. She firmly believes that learning never ends—and that it should be fun!

Alexandra has attended seminars on classroom management, English language teaching methodology and the use of technology in foreign language education. She holds the Certificate of Proficiency in English (ECPE) from the University of Michigan, as well as Certificates of Proficiency in English (CPE) and Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT) qualifications from Cambridge University.

She believes that learning a foreign language should be an enjoyable experience. Students should have fun while learning and feel free to express their ideas and opinions in the classroom.

 

Mary Bougioukou

 

Teacher of English

Mary Bougioukou entered the fascinating world of teaching in the 1980s and has been working at Kyttea Education Centres since 2008 – eight years of which in a secretarial position.

She has taken part in teacher training courses and attended seminars on the foundations of teaching and learning a foreign language, lesson planning and use of resources in teaching, classroom management and the learning process. She holds the Certificate of Proficiency (CPE) of the University of Cambridge. She also holds a translation certificate from the meta|φραση Translator Training Centre.

Mary speaks French, Spanish and Italian. She has many years of teaching experience at all levels and believes that learning never ends and is fun!!! She loves children, books, arts and crafts, travelling and going to the movies.

 

Eugenia Tsiota

 

 

Teacher of English

Eugenia Tsiota studied at the Department of Early Childhood Education of the University of Patras but decided that she preferred teaching English.

She holds the CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English), CEELT (Cambridge Examination in English for Language Teachers) and TKT (Teaching Knowledge Test) qualifications from the University of Cambridge, achieving excellent results. She has attended numerous seminars on the psychological and emotional aspects of learning, as well as approaches to teaching students with learning difficulties. She also completed, with distinction, a training programme at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens on teaching foreign languages to children with learning difficulties. In addition, she has participated in seminars focusing on a variety of English language examinations.

 

Eugenia loves learning – her latest "craze", Spanish. She likes "making" stuff and spends her time knitting and crocheting. Running helps her let off steam.

 

Georgia Vasilopoulou

 

 Teacher of English

Georgia Vasilopoulou grew up in Canada and is bilingual. She is a graduate of York University in Toronto, majoring in Political Science and Mass Media.

Georgia has been working as an English teacher in Greece since 1999. She has acquired the CPE (Cambridge Proficiency in English) with a grade of Excellent and the TKT (Teaching Knowledge Test) from the University of Cambridge. She frequently attends conferences and seminars to learn new techniques and to keep abreast of the latest developments in the field of foreign language teaching to non-native speakers.

Georgia believes that languages need to be learned in a natural and active manner, stimulating real communication skills for students to experience the language in the classroom. Her aim is to educate and instil the knowledge that will inspire students to discover the multifaceted and interesting functions of the English language.

 

Dimitra Polyzou

 

 

 

Teacher of English

Dimitra Polyzou has been working as a teacher of English at Kyttea Education Centres since 1996. During this time, she has taught children, teenagers and adults at all levels, from A Junior to Proficiency.

She holds the CPE (Cambridge Proficiency Examination) and TKT (Teaching Knowledge Test) from the University of Cambridge. She has attended several methodology seminars on foreign language teaching and classroom management, among others.

Dimitra is married and has a daughter. She spends her free time dancing and cooking and relaxes by reading books or watching movies.
