NEW CENTRE FOR CREATIVE ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN
2020
In 2020 we set up a new Centre for Creative Activities for Children (KDAP PLATEIA) in the area of Kefalovryso, offering quality creative outlets to even more children in our town.
BEGINNING
1978
In 1978 Katerina Kyttea-Papadokostaki founded an English language school, wanting to share her knowledge and love for English as a foreign language with the children of Nafpaktos. It first operated on the ground floor of a traditional stone house on the east side of the town centre, in the area of Kefalovryso.
EVOLUTION
1990
In 1990 the school premises evolved into a modern four-storey building with all the specifications of a fully equipped foreign language centre, modern classrooms, and a computer lab. The teaching of more foreign languages was gradually introduced: first French and German, followed by Italian and Spanish.
SECOND BRANCH
2003
In 2003 a second branch was established in the centre of Nafpaktos. It is housed in a modern building, built to meet the needs of the Foreign Language Centre, which includes – among other facilities – an assembly hall and a screening room.
TECHNOLOGY
2009
In 2009 all classrooms in both branches were equipped with computers, projectors, and interactive whiteboards to give our students all the benefits that technology can offer in foreign language teaching.
LIFELONG LEARNING CENTRE
2014
In 2014 Kyttea Education Centres were certified as a Lifelong Learning Centre (KEDIVIM 2), offering training and certification courses for adults, professionals, employees, and the unemployed.
CENTRE OF CREATIVE ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN
2018
In 2018 part of our second branch was redesigned and certified to be used as a Centre of Creative Activities for Children (KDAP), where children aged 5-12 years can participate in creative workshops (free through NSRF).
